Thunderbird下移动已存在的配置文件夹

您可以把配置文件夹移动到不同的位置。如果您想备份配置文件夹到您的硬盘上的某些地方，以及想让 Thunderbird 使用您的配置文件，这会很有用。这部分就将说明该怎么来做。

完全关闭 Thunderbird (文件 > 退出)。
移动配置文件夹到希望的位置。例如，在 Windows ，从 C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default 移动配置文件夹到 D:\Stuff\MyMailProfile。若在您阅读到这些说明时，因为您想要的是还原先前备份的配置文件，这步将不是必要的。您需要做的仅仅是记录您想要还原的配置文件当前的位置。
用文本编辑类软件打开 profiles.ini 。这个文件位于 Thunderbird 的 application data 文件夹 内:
在 Windows XP/2000 下，路径通常是 %AppData%\Thunderbird\
在 Windows 95/98/Me 下，路径通常是 C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Thunderbird\
在 Linux 下，路径通常是 ~/.thunderbird/
在 Mac OS X 下，路径通常是 ~/Library/Application Support/Thunderbird/
在 profiles.ini 中，找出您移动前的配置文件的位置。更改 Path= 这一行，并使其指向新位置的路径。
将 IsRelative=1 改为 IsRelative=0。
保存 profiles.ini 重新运行 Thunderbird

以下是我的Profile.ini文件设置（先将整个"Profiles"文件夹剪切到E:\purelan software\Mozilla Thunderbird\下）：

opera修改配置文件目录的办法

1、打开Opera安装目录下面的OperaDef6.ini，设置[System]下面的Multi User=0。

2、找到opera6.ini这个文件，它通常位于C:\Documents and Settings\你的用户名\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\下面，把其中的C:\Documents and Settings\你的用户名\Application Data\Opera\Opera\全部替换为X:\Program Files\Opera\（注：（X为你安装Opera的分区盘符，默认为C）。

3、把C:\Documents and Settings\你的用户名\Application Data\Opera\Opera\下面的profile目录和mail目录剪切到X:\Program Files\Opera

更改firefox配置文件和bookmark的位置

由于装了powershadow，每次更改firefox设置都无法保存，因此需要更改firefox配置文件和书签的位置。
profile的默认位置是：C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\
修改目录中的profile.ini文件，（从网上摘引）
1. Create a new, empty folder in the desired profile location with the name you wish to use for the new profile, for example, D:\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\newprofile
2. Copy the entire contents of the Firefox or Thunderbird profile folder you are moving into the new profile folder you just created.
3. If you do the copy via a CD, remove the write-protection from the copied files.
4. Find the Firefox or Thunderbird profiles.ini file (it will be located in the Firefox or Thunderbird default profile folder path) and open it in a text editor.
○ (Optional) Change the "Name=" line to the name of the new profile folder you created, e.g., Name=newprofile
○ Change "IsRelative=1" to "IsRelative=0"
○ Change the "Path=" line to the actual location of the new profile folder, e.g., Path=D:\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\newprofile.
5. If you are moving a profile from its default location, the original profile folder can now be removed.
6. Open Firefox or Thunderbird, to test if the profile move was successful.
我将配置文件放在D:\firefox\profiles目录

修改书签的位置：
打开firefox，地址栏输入about:config
右键新建一个字符串，名为 browser.bookmarks.file
然后输入字串值为“新路径名\书签文件名”即可。比如 D:\My bookmarks\bookmarks.html
我把书签放在D:\firefox\bookmarks目录

存在的问题：
FEBE所备份的书签位置还是默认的位置，因此书签无法更新备份。
